Economic development of our country is very much linked to providing quality technical manpower in various areas, especially in Engineering, Technology, Management and related fields. If we have to fulfill the dream of our former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam ji to become one of the competing development nations by 2020, it is inevitable that the ground be prepared so that we are in a position to cater to the ever- increasing need of technical human resource in the global market.
The technical manpower produced in the state is not only catering to the requirement of the state, but a large number of trained personal migrate to other States/Countries. Globalization and liberalization of our economy has resulted into frequent migration of trained manpower across the State/Country border, and the ‘border’ has lost its significance in respect to job opportunities and placement.
Engineering & Technology and Management are the activities of man, which involve application of objective knowledge to the creation of plans, designs, and procedures for achieving the desired objectives of the mankind. It is concerned with solving the problems in the real world. The human need is ever- changing and therefore the engineering & technology functions have also evolved with the evolution of the society. The technology has thus evolved from the simple crafts to complex inter- disciplinary activities. The technical persons, throughout, have been at the forefront of this evolutionary process. They have played a crucial role in shaping the society to its present complex form.
- To provide education and training at graduate and post graduate levels designed to create competencies consistent with the evolving needs of society.
- To deliver education consistent with the needs of business and economy.
- To inculcate problem solving, innovative, communication& presentation skills.
- To inculcate respect for Values, Ethics, and Integrity among the human population of the Institutions.
- To continuously innovate education processes comparable with the best in the class.
- To attract, develop and retain highly competent faculty
- To continuously monitor the quality of output through structured feedback.
- To organize seminars, conferences and symposia to enable faculty, students and other professionals remain at the cutting edge of knowledge and technology.
- To generate awareness about understanding of global affairs, intellectual property, environment, competitiveness.
The technical institutions thus serve not only to enhance the skills of future workers but also to produce new knowledge and to adapt knowledge produced elsewhere, The production of new knowledge as well as its adaptation to the specific needs of a country is generally associated with higher-level teaching and research than normally considered essential for producing skilled workers. When the students seek to acquire higher level of education and training, the undergraduate education they received earlier should not prove to be a disadvantage. Each country will have to evolve its own goals for technical education since the demographic, economic, historical and social factors of no two countries are alike.
In IEC Group of Institutions, providing quality education has always been close to our heart. Interestingly, we have a team of talented and dedicated people working on cutting edge of technology, working hand in hand with international community toying with new developments in different disciplines more so in Science and Technology. It was in this context, that IEC Group of Institutions were established in a phased manner, in order to bridge these gaps by duly focusing on Research driven quality education and positioning itself as a catalyst Institution between all stake holders including the students, the academia and the Industry. Come, join and share our vision and mission for a bright future.
